How to draw a water bottle

Updated on November 2, 2012

Firstly, I wanted to say thanks for all the nice feedback I've gotten in my previous hubs. I'm glad that a lot of you didn't come across a lot of trouble when you followed the steps. That is really awesome, I try to make this as easy as I possibly can. I want to make this a fun and education experience for everyone who looks at my hubs!

Today, I will be posting a tutorial that will show you how to draw a glass bottle. It's pretty easy to do, but I'd like to present you with how I do it. Again, I hope this will be easy for you all to follow, there is a total of 9 steps in this particular how to. Please follow them closely to achieve similar results :).

Step 1

In this very first step, we're gonna start off by drawing the bottle cap top.

Step 2

In this step, we have a simple shape of a bottle cap. For the steps to come, we will be focusing on the detail of the bottle cap. Although it only makes up a small portion of the drawing itself, it is still something I feel that needs to be mentioned. Detail is key to any drawing :3.

Step 3

Adding to the bottle cap as shown to the right.

Step 4

Need I say more? xD

Step 5

Add some crannies to your bottle cap. Just some simple vertical lines will do, try not to overdo it.

Step 6

Now, we can start drawing the top of the bottle. Think of how a commercial water bottle is shaped. It's usually narrow at the top, larger in the middle then smaller again at the base.

Step 7

Work your way down to the base of the bottle.

Step 8

Almost finished! On to the last step.

Step 9

Now remember, a bottle is not a completely solid object. Especially if it is glass, you can definitely see right through it. In this last step, we are going to draw elements that insinuate that the glass has an interior. When you look at a bottle, you can sometimes see the base of the bottle depending on its position.

That is all! Feel free to place your feedback on this hub! Till next time!
